I don't understand this question?
You can choose the fonts you like under "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Font" - so what is the problem?
From TC 8.50 TC by default used "Segoe UI Semibold", but in TC 9.0 "Segoe UI regular" is used by default.
BTW, if you just update your TC, the font settings you have used until now will be preserved - it is only if you make a new installation that the default font (now "Segoe UI regular") is used.
Older TC used Microsoft Sans Serif 8 pt. and in bold for "File list font" and "Main window font".
