I have had Everything's service installed for some time now and use it (through its GUI program) every now and then. That is, Everything's GUI runs without admin rights.
Total Commander (always running as not admin) does indeed complain if Everything's GUI is not running (visible window or minimized in the notification area). However, even when it does not complain (which means it actually detects it, I suppose) it does not use Everything's library.
I am on Windows 7 x64 English SP1 (all updates, except Win10 stuff), with the latest TC 9β1 32bit.
Regards
